Grasping at straws

After yesterdays new's about Jin, I thought fans would see the benefits of the new KT arrangement once they'd calmed down and be more positive and accepting about it. But no. When it comes to Jin, the foremost action of KT fans is to defend. Defending a member you love is a-ok. But forcibly denying what's happening... not-so-much-ok.

Yes, we all know that Jin has said that he has no desire to leave KT and that he will return. Before he left for LA, that is.

We also know that once he returned from his tour, his answer changed to I like doing solo work more then KT work and I don't know what will happen in the future.

Don't deny the change people.
 
If you don't believe the newspapers, tv reports, KT's tears or Johnny-san's words, at least put your own wants aside and see what Jin wants. What he's been wanting ever since he was chibi!JIn.

What I find weird is that most fans who are in denial about this trust Jin to be the most-honest-person-ever, which, hey, I have no problem with (though I disagree). But I'm really confused. If you trust what Jin says, then trust his actions too, because actions do really speak louder than words.

And by his actions, I mean his behaviour when he's doing KT activities vs his solo activities. You have to be blind or wading really, really deep in the denial pool to not see the difference.

Here is Jin during the promotion of 'Love Yourself.' Notice his blank face. Notice how people notice his blank face and how that affects the rest of KT. Do not make excuses like 'he's just shy around new ppl/the camera' because that. That isn't even an excuse. It's just what you want to believe. Jin's been the co-frontman of KT for how long now? Do you honestly believe that he could pull that off while being camera shy?? Just because he's not good at MC-ing doesn't make him shy.

Don't believe me, here's proof. Notice the expressions, the smile, the funny dance at the end. This is Jin doing solo work. This is Jin happy. This is also Jin in LA, a foreign land when compared to Japan and a foreign interviewer. And Jin is not shy. Why? Because he's not the shy type. A shy person whould not want to leave a group to go solo and embrace the centre of the spolight. It's obvious that Jin is thriving now that he's gotten the chance to follow his dreams. How can anyone deny that??

If Jin did return to KT like you all want him to, do you think he'd act any differently then he has been these past few years? Especially now that he's felt the thrill of holding his own solo con?? And do you think the rest of KT deserves that? To accept a member back into the group after he's already abandoned them twice, both at pivotol times in their career? To act as a safety net for someone who is half-hearted in all their activities and would rather be elsewhere??

And as for Jin, why don't you want him to live out his dream?? Because by asking him to remain with KT, that's what your doing. How can he have the freedom to give his all in his desired future if he's constantly running back to support KT?? If you don't want him going solo because you're worried that he'll fail, then you really don't have any respect for the rest of the members. KT should not be his back-up. KT should be his dream. But it's not, so deal with it. It's not like Jin hasn't made it obvious.

So yeah, I'm getting really annoyed by fans being selfish in the name of supporting KT. If you support them, don't deny what's clearly happening. Accept it and move on!!! Both KT and Jin are happy with this arrangement, so be happy that they're happy!!

You took the words right out of my mouth. =.= I was thinking about making a post about this, but I'm a bit lazy and you said it all, really.

This, to me, is the most damning evidence. I find that some fans are conveniently forgetting these parts. They're remembering the 'I won't quit KAT-TUN', etc, etc, but overlooking what he later said. It's a bit frustrating, to be honest. =.=' And even though I find Jin says what's on his mind 98% of the time - he's very bluntly honest - he's not an idiot either. And neither is the agency (most of the time =.=). For something as big as him leaving KAT-TUN... they would want to keep it under wraps (until now, obviously). I don't know how much I can trust that 'I won't quit KAT-TUN' statement anymore, especially after the 'I don't know what will happen in the future' b/c frankly? I think that statement trumps the previous one. And the way the answer is so vague? It kinda tips in the direction that he will leave. But that's just my opinion.

Also, I completely agree with your assessment in the above comments, comparing Yamapi's and Jin's situations. That's exactly how I view it. Plus, I really think if Jin were to go solo, he would want to focus 100% on that. Also, he likes his private time, and to juggle both solo and KT work? =.='' He wouldn't have time for himself, and that's a big no-no for him. Another point I've seen some people bring up - which I get so annoyed about, omg - is why can't KT put their activities on hold while Jin does his stuff (like how NEWS hasn't really done anything while their members pursue whatever projects). I haven't seen a lot of people mention this, but it has been mentioned. And I'm like, 'Are you freakin' kidding me?' Ugh. If there's one way for a group to fade into the background, it's for them to go on hiatus. That is so not what KT needs. They need exposure, not the exact opposite!

Ack, did I get a bit rant-y? I'm sorry. :( Anyways, great job on this post. You always write things so eloquently! -jealous- XD

inorite? They're like totally ignoring Jin's recent words at the same time they're clinging to his older ones. Srsly, ppl, stop with the picking and choosing!! Gosh, it's not like the guy can't change his mind. (tbh though, I never once believed that Jin really wanted to remain in KT since I believe what I see and not what I here. Like if someone said they loved you and then proceeded to treat you like crap, then for me the person obv lied. And yeah, Jin's not stupid. IMO, the only reason he said he wanted to stay was b/c he had no other option. If he had been given the same opportunity he received now earlier, whether it be 2 or 3 yrs ago, I'm sure he would have jumped to grab it. Not that I blame him, but just, I'm not about to defend his behaviour.)

And, omg, UGH. I HATE those fans who want KT to put a halt in their career just for Jin. Like, wth?!! It's their lives you're talking about. Get over yourselves, you stupid AOs. And pfffft, as if Kame would ever sit still and wait. Hell, none of the boys would, so yeah, in your face!! /feeling a childish triumph here

No worries. I can handle rants as long as they're not reeking of denial, and I kinda ranted back at you so we're even, lol. XDD I think you're way more elequent than I am, which I think you've realized after reading this, lol.
