The surfboard idea came out of nowhere and I'm so glad it did because Yuya needs something of Yuuki's to hold on to, esp since he'd lost the cast they'd bonded over ;__; asjkahd that scenario was supposed to be a happy one :( But the canon is angsty so there's no escaping it.
